I Open at the Close

SPOILERS FOR HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS.


"The long game was ended, the Snitch had been caught, it was time to leave the air...
The Snitch. His nerveless fingers fumbled for a moment with the pouch at his neck and he pulled it out.
I open at the close.
Breathing hard and fast, he stared down at it. Now that he wanted time to move as slowly as possible, it seemed to have sped up, and understanding was coming so fast it seemed to have bypassed thought. This was the close. This was the moment.
He pressed the golden metal to his lips and whispered, "I am about to die.""

So. A while ago, I revealed that I was never a reader, so I didn't ever read a single Harry Potter book. I got a lot of encouragement to read them, and with the help of one of my friends, I borrowed the whole series. I started from the beginning, and was so enchanted by the magical world that I followed through and excitement for what would happen next. Deathly Hallows Part 2 was the only Harry Potter movie I watched AFTER reading the book. And holy geez, I know I may not be one of those "I READ THOSE AS A KID" type of fans, but I am a big one. (Which reminds me, I picked up a stick shaped like a wand today and put it in my bag. I must get it out before it snaps.) The story. OH THE STORY. SO WELL WRITTEN. SO CAPTIVATING.
But anyways.

Was so well done. I read it over and over again. I love those single moments where big questions get answered and everything falls into place. <3<3

But yes. Oh god I love Harry Potter.
